Keeping it simple and lightweight

After innumerous experiments and attempts to create a better hinge, the best way is to use simple adhesive tape. It's a very quick and easy way to make very lightweight and free moving hinges. The non-permanent nature also allows you to easily replace damaged control surfaces or test different sizes during prototyping new models.

Be sure to use a water resistant tape for your hinges, and when applying the tape, allow a gap of around 2mm between the two twinwall surfaces to allow for control movement.
