Wheel Collets

Posted at Royal Mail Large Letter  rate, these turned brass slim collets are high quality. They suit all our larger wire gauges from 6~16SWG and are sold in sets of four. Each collet has a blackened steel individual allen screw and the set is bagged with a 45mm long 1.5AF allen key to fit.

Fix your collets to the undercarriage with their Allen screws uppermost. For the outer retaining collet, best to use the edge of a needle file and make a slight flat on your axle wire, tightening the screw into the flat. Use a smear of Loctite on the threads. Alternatively a watertight adhesive like Evo-Stik smeared carefully around the end thread gap holds it firm.
