Presenting our 3D Mugi flight simulator
If you have a home computer running Windows then you can play our Mugi flight simulator. Please follow the instructions in our FAQ below to get it running on your machine.
The simulator seeks to recreate the feel and fun of flying the Mugi.
It can be played for fun, to give you an insight into the performance of our real model, or simply as a training aid.
The program is currently work in progress but we have focussed the initial release on how the Mugi flies. There are other incomplete game modes. These have been added to stimulate discussion. We hope our dedicate Mugi fan base will come up with lots of suggestions which we can develop further.
The game download is free.
FAQ
Hardware requirements
The Mugi simulator uses DirectX9 Shader Version 3. In simple terms this means that it will require a decent dedicated graphic card to run.
Controller support
The simulator currently supports a generic two stick analogue joystick, keyboard, mouse and Xbox 360 controller.
An Xbox 360 controller is a good likeness to flying with an actual transmitter if you haven't flown a real radio controlled aircraft.
Please carefully consider and experiment with your choice of flight mode. The joystick, keyboard and Xbox 360 controller settings let
you fly with either elevator on the left hand, or elevator on the right hand.
The Xbox controller drivers can be downloaded here:
