Automatic 24 hour operation using Davis Pro Plus weather gear. Also via
APRS network on 144.800MHz (two metre) narrow FM. Location is the QTH
of amateur radio station G4LED sited on the old Holmfirth Hill; right on
the borders of Sycamore and Muslin Hall, almost adjacent to the Holmfirth
High School campus. All instruments are to the Met Office requirements
and recommended siting; mast mounted eight metres above garden ground
level. There are some tree and roof vortex effects on wind values.
PlayStation 2 cheapie webcam, red filter enhanced. Shows ENE view 1.3Km
towards Thurstonland Bank lighthouse across valley. Night shows examples
of our increasing light pollution, mainly outrageous and badly set flood-
light intrusion. Easily replaced with invisible infra red detection means.
Current values are shown for their interest. I hope you like the site and
